Report: Google to Start New Payment System – Forbes.com October 26th, 2007

Well this certainly doesn’t surprise me as Google seeks out a way to make revenue from something other than their advertising…See Article: Report: Google to Start New Payment System – Forbes.com

Most of the money they make now comes from Adwords and Adsense revenue. Billions are made each year… But that’s an unstable rock to be standing on long term.

You never know what can happen in the online world. One good idea can shake and destroy business models.

Knowing Google they will have their own brilliant spins and ease of payments… Something… something will be unique and different that will attract people away from the likes of PayPal. There has to be or they wouldn’t be attempting to break into this area.

They do have a much larger global reach than Paypal and are much more aggressive so it’ll be interesting to watch.

I think Google is unbelievable to watch as they ad service after service and product after product. It’s unreal how they provide developers the flexibility to use their data via API.

They are about offering a lot of services and products, but at the same time they are building a flexible business model that inables anyone to interact with them & find a lot of uses for their services and data.

Exciting stuff!

III Hosting Gets a Face Lift! October 26th, 2007

I just redesigned the III Hosting website with a new look and feel…III Hosting

I’ve also done some things with the plans. I’ve added unlimited sub-domains to all of them & multiple add-on domain options for all 3 plans.

So you are now getting a lot of bang for your buck.

I’ve received some great, positive feedback about the hosting. Rave reviews for the cPanel.

Website Templates from FXStyle October 26th, 2007

My previous post highlighted the fact that I changed the template for my hosting website at www.iiiHosting.com.Well let me tell you, I used a template from an incredible package of 8000 templates that I bought yesterday for only $40! Some stand alone templates cost more than that.

But this isn’t just a throw together package or a package of old, out of date templates. This is from a new site that I discovered from some old hats at design…

The Templates: FXStyle-Templates

FXStyle is a professional eBusiness solutions company that was established in 1999.

I’ve looked at over 100 of these templates so far and every single one is exceptional. And again you can look at the face lift at III Hosting to see one in action…

I did modify it a bit. I changed some of the graphics and added my own header, but the basic look, navigation and feel are the same.

This one is HTML with a touch of CSS. There is also ActiveX and Flash templates galore in the package.

So I highly recommend checking them out!

Up until now I’ve always just used my own basic templates that I created from scratch for all my websites. But to be a serious player in some markets, you have to look the part of a serious, professional merchant. You need to emulate the look of your competitors… so I did.

Looks aren’t everything. I still provide the same high level of service and products that I did a few days ago, but it may make someone more comfortable buying my services and products if I don’t look like an amateur on the surface… increased conversions. That’s the name of the game!

They offer a great design foundation to work of of and are easily customized for whatever your needs might be.

I hope you find the templates useful. Believe me, it is worth many more times the $39.95 you’ll spend!

Outsourcing… Relieve the Pressure & Make More Money! October 26th, 2007

I thought I’d touch on Outsourcing a bit today. First the definition:Outsourcing is the delegation of tasks or jobs from internal production to an external entity (such as a subcontractor). Most recently, it has come to mean the elimination of native staff to staff overseas, where salaries are markedly lower. This is despite the fact that the majority of outsourcing that occurs today still occurs within country boundaries, especially in North America. It became a popular buzzword in business and management in the 1990s.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Outsourcing

So it simply is taking something that is required by your business and instead of doing it yourself or in house, you pay another individual or company to do it for you.

The reason I wanted to get into this today is because I saw someone in a forum pretty upset. She was trying so hard to put together a good sales page for her product and through here post it seemed she was pretty frustrated and depressed about it…

And there was good advice given and I wanted to echo that for any of you that might be in business and are struggling trying to do everything yourself.

In the beginning it might make economic sense I suppose. If your funds are short, you might have to try and do a lot yourself, but keep this in mind…

The most successful marketers and business people do well because they focus on the things THEY are good at. The rest they give to others to do for them.

Some people will actually just create products and have others create the sales pages, content, graphics and more for them.

In this person’s case above, she could go to a place like eLance and put the job up for people to bid on. She’d pay someone a few bucks and probably get a fantastic sales page.

If you are looking for a programmer, you might go to RentACoder.com.

The investment can come back to you a 100 or 1000 fold. Find people that are good at other things that you are not or don’t have time for.

I’ve done it myself. I’m working on an on going project with an individual who I found through eLance. We are co-authoring an eBook together. The project itself is long term. It involves a lot of research and time, but she brings to the table things I don’t. I bring to the table things & experience that she doesn’t.

We are a team.

So the next time YOU get frustrated or stressed because of time or inability to do something, think about it. Think about going out there and finding someone to help you with your project and business.

Also learn to pace yourself & not put to much pressure on yourself if something isn’t working out. It’s not worth losing your sanity or becoming depressed over something like your business.

ALL of us struggle with something; every business struggles… We are not all good at everything… Even the most successful of us have times of difficulty.

Just focus on your strengths and your goal. Work at it. Don’t focus on the obstacle; focus on the result your effort will have.

Taking breaks will help as well. Take a walk. If something is REALLY driving you crazy, set it down for a few days and work on something else. When you come back to it, you’ll come back with fresh energy and will be more effective.

OR… simply ask for some help in your favorite forum!

Strength and growth come only through continuous effort and struggle. -Napoleon Hill

What is Domain Name Backordering? Watch Out For This One! October 26th, 2007

Your Domain becomes a very valuable asset as your website becomes more popular and traffic increases.I just read this article about “Domain Name Backordering” and it made me stop and think about this…

The Article: What is Domain Name Backordering? Watch Out For This One!

It sounds like a service that SHOULDN’T exist, but does. Someone could backorder tons of domains for that one chance of someone forgetting to renew.

I have also heard as highlighted in this article that Google is looking at the length someone registers their domain. If you register it for 5 years instead of 1, they might bump your ranking a little for having more staying power. I don’t have any hard proof of this, but it’s a rumor and makes sense…

There are ways to protect yourself from this type of thing… ask your domain registrar what they can do for you.

Another thing to be aware of is that people have had their domains transferred away from them… make sure you have a “domain name lock”.

Just contact your current domain registrar and ask them what you need to do to protect your domain… or at the very least register it for more than a year.

Hope you’ve found this helpful!

My Web BETA – Features – Yahoo! October 26th, 2007

Well this isn’t 100% business related… or is it?Yahoo just released “My Web”. It is simply a way for you to create your own surfing web. You can save things as you surf…

It’s meant to make it easy to refind things when you need them.

You can also categorize & share your personal web… soon you will be able to integrate it into Yahoo! 360°.

Yes, this is better than bookmarks… you are saving a copy. If the site moves you still have it. You can orgnize things as you wish…

AND you can import your current favorites!

Check it out here: My Web BETA – Features – Yahoo!

I think this illustrates that Yahoo intends to continue to be a player and continue to offer and blend services… in direct competition with Google. Maybe… or are they moving in different directions?

Google seems to be more business and developer oriented… Yahoo, personal… just an observation.

Remains to be seen.

Using Suggestions to Your Benefit October 26th, 2007

If you have been following my blog, you’ll have noticed I have posted the last few days… been SUPER busy. I’ll be posting a lot this next week and will throw in some extra stuff to make up for lost days. :)I’ve spent a lot of time on one of my niche forums these last few days. I had received a suggestion from one of my forum members regarding a different way to structure the forum to bring more unity and a better sense of community about.

It’s something I had been thinking about, but this person inspired me to action.

So I really reworked it and am still working on updating a bunch of stuff.

No matter what business you are in, you don’t want to close your mind to suggestions and comments. Forums are nice because you can create a forum within just for this.

But even if you have a website, product or service that is regularly used by people and someone has a suggestion, think about it.

Not everyone thinks the same AND some people might see something a little different than you do from their experience with your product or whatever… AND it could boost your conversions or image…

Don’t get tunnel vision… especially online. Always be playing with new ideas, testing and reworking things… that’s how you will grow and succeed long term.

Have a Great & Productive Day!

WebProWorld :: Google Sued For Click Fraud October 26th, 2007

I found this article at WebProWorld interesting.I’m pretty heavy into Google Adwords and so it is a topic close to my pocket book.

A class action lawsuit was filed in US District Court against Google alleging breach of contract, negligence, unjust enrichment, and unfair business practices—all involving charges of click fraud. Click Defense Inc, a click fraud protection firm, filed the suit in California in the name of an unknown number of plaintiffs for an amount not less than $5 million.

Here’s the article: Google Sued For Click Fraud

I actually commented on this in this thread at WPW, but I will kind of repeat what I said…

20% or more clicks are fradulent according to this article. That is something that needs to be gained control of.

That’s a lot of revenue coming out of the pockets of advertisers…

BUT the whole point of this suit is the fact that Google could be doing more and aren’t.

In the past I’ve always defended Google. There are a lot of people out there that try to feed us with unproven bull… that Google does certain things to improve their revenue.

For instance… my favorite… they provide bad organic results to get more clicks on the Sponsered Ads.

I don’t think so. The better the results, the more people that will use the engine and the more revenue they will in turn make in my opinion…

BUT at the same time, could they ignore a problem because it makes them money?

They could.

They don’t lose money from click fraud. The advertisers do. If they lost money would there be more effort to control the fraud?

Do they have a tool they could use to seek out and derail it?

Maybe… and maybe this suit will bring it to light and be a good thing for all of us.

Maybe if more people pressured Google to take more action, more action would be taken.

Wired News: U.S. Keeps Hold on Internet October 26th, 2007

I found this to be a fascinating news piece found at Wired.com:Wired News: U.S. Keeps Hold on Internet

Basically a recent decision by the U.S. moves to retain oversight of the main computers that control all of the internet… this is making some foreign officials nervous.

In a worst-case scenario, countries refusing to accept U.S. control could establish their own separate Domain Name System and thus fracture the Internet into more than one network. That means two users typing the same domain name could reach entirely different Web sites, depending on where they are.

The internet is expanding more than ever globally. What a tragedy it would be to see it split because foreign governments don’t want to see the U.S. in control…

But then again, does it even matter. I mean, come on… even if a foreign government set up a new internet seperate from the current, who would go there? The money (eCommerce & Online Business) is in the current web. The only way I would see a business break out is if something new is offered in the new web.

I don’t know that it’s anything to worry about. Someone’s gotta be in charge right? And I think the U.S. has played a large part in the internet being what it is today right? And from a personal perspective I would rather see the control where it is than in some unstable, corrupted foreign body. (I know some of you think the U.S. is corrupted as well… we’re not perfect, but… could be worse)

Interesting to say the least.

The Game is On! October 26th, 2007

OK! This is just getting good! What am I excited about…Opportunity. It’s rising… for YOU and for ME.

I will admit. I have way to many projects going on at the moment and I know I’m not getting to everything I should be doing… My hosting website is the number one priority. That will never suffer. But all this other stuff that I’m doing is crazy & I wish I had more time!

I’m in the middle of rewriting my “Web of OpportunityOnline Opportunity eCourse. That I’m trying to do while at the same time…

I just discovered an incredible niche market. I do a lot of promoting via Google Adwords and I have just fallen into a very profitable campaign. This one campaign is easily going to make me thousands of dollars over this next year starting now!

It came out of no where and I’ve made 7 large commissions in just the last few weeks… and I haven’t even tapped it’s potential yet. So I’m working on developing new keyword lists and so I’m going after this market aggressively.

I plan on branching out to other PPC Engines to find fresh markets to promote in with this thing.

I also have several potential Joint Ventures in the mix. One of them was in the last few days… I’m not sure what we are going to do yet, but I know it has potential.

I’m just excited. So many things are happening… I’ve been selling my eBooks with Search Engine traffic. The free traffic from search engines has been dynamic.

I’ve been even getting affiliate sales without spending a dime on advertising…

My eBook “Become Your Own Net Detective” has sold several copies… and I haven’t even fully developed the campaign for this thing yet. I have plans to add a bonus and enhance the product down the road.

I have been bad though. :(

I haven’t been posting here enough. It’s so easy to get out of the habit and it’s a habit I don’t want to get out of. I really enjoy blogging. Sooooo…

I’ll do better! :)

I hope everything is going as well as all of you.

Remember if you are reading this OR are thinking about my hosting packages OR just have some quick questions, I’m here for you.

I am an expert in a number of different areas and can help you succeed in your business and market your products and website. Just drop me an e-mail if you want to chat.

I hate to, but I gotta go make some more money! Have a Great One!
